7 Bible Verses for Youth

Life as a Christian isn’t always easy, especially when you’re young – when you’re being judged and bullied about everything, including your beliefs.

It gets easy to lose hope and opening your Bible is probably the last thing on your mind, but this book is not a book of rules, it’s a book of encouragement, love, and direction…

1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” (NIV)

Don’t let anyone dim your light, you’re awesome and created to shine!

Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (NIV)

Everything happens for a reason, even the bad happens for good, don’t stop believing, you’ll see!

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)

Your life has been planned before you were even born,  you will prosper!

Psalm 119:9 “How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.” (NIV)

This is not easy, but it’s also not impossible, keep trying!

Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” (NIV)

Sometimes we don’t get what we want, we get what God wants, and that’s okay..one day you will understand why it didn’t go your way and thank him for it!

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (NIV)

Put your Trust in him and he will not fail you!

1 Peter 4:3 “You’ve already put in your time in that God-ignorant way of life, partying night after night, a drunken and profligate life. Now it’s time to be done with it for good. Of course, your old friends don’t understand why you don’t join in with the old gang anymore. But you don’t have to give an account to them. They’re the ones who will be called on the carpet—and before God himself.” (The Message)

It’s hard to stop living the life that you’re friends are living, missing out on the fun being left out of conversations and laughter about the night before, and even losing some friends who don’t understand you.. but don’t you think missing out on a party or losing a fake friend(no real friend would judge you) is a small price to pay for one who was nailed on a cross just for your salvation?

I know that living this life is not easy and that nobody is perfect, I know that I am going to be judged for writing this post because I’m that far from perfect, but we were all created with a purpose, we’re all a work in progress and there will always be haters. Don’t you ever let their opinions destroy you, Rise up and become the person you are meant to be.
